He is 63 years old (as in Sept 2015) Medical Doctor, a Graduate of AIIMS, a Gastro-enterologist by background, and was in practice in the U.S. till March 1997. During the 21+ years that he had spent in the U.S. till then, he was deeply troubled by the fact that India was one of the poorest countries in the world. He was looking for a practical way to involve himself full time to hopefully eventually do large scale poverty alleviation in India. He came across the work of Prof. Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank of Bangladesh, and found a practical way to do large scale poverty alleviation. He then quit his practice. Upon his request, a Registered Public Charitable Trust "BharathaSwamuktiSamsthe" (BSS Trust for short) was started in 1997 for the purpose of doing large scale poverty alleviation work in India. He has served as its Trustee and a Governor right from its inception, and he has been in charge of running the day to day affairs of the Trust since its inception. Effective 1st of April 2008, the Microfinance operations of the Trust was taken over by BSS Microfinance Private Limited (BSS NBFC) and Dr. Ramesh Bellamkonda has been serving as its Managing Director. Dr. Bellamkonda has over eighteen (18) years of experience in Microfinance, having been / being, in charge of day to day functioning of BSS Trust, and subsequently of BSS NBFC.
He is 62 years old (as in Sept 2015) B.Sc. graduate, with Post Graduate Diploma in Instrumentation and is the Managing Director of Instrumentation Company. He started BSS Trust on the request of Dr. Ramesh Bellamkonda in 1997, and has been highly supportive of BSS Trust and has been a Governor of BSS Trust right from its inception. He has over eighteen (18) years of experience in Microfinance, initially as a Governor of BSS Trust, and subsequently as a Non-Executive Director of BSS NBFC.
He is 49 years old (as in Sept 2015). He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers, has 19 years of banking experience including position as Deputy General Manager of Vijaya Bank, Assistant General Manager of Syndicate Bank and Head of Finance of Bahraini Saudi Bank. He had worked in several departments of the banks including Finance, Accounts, Credit Administration, ALM & Risk Management, Inspection & Audit, Planning and Funds Management & Investment. He joined BSS Microfinance Private Limited as a member of Strategic Management Team in September 2010 and appointed as Whole Time Director of the Company on 10th August 2013. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
He is 40 years old (as in Sept 2015). Mr. Panchakshari S is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company He was appointed as Whole Time Director of the Company on 10th February 2010. He has more than 16 years of experience in microfinance sector. He has attended many workshops, conferences, exposure & training programmes across India. He has deeply involved in developing the organization in right direction. He has Bachelors' Degree in Science & in Education & Master Degree in Business Administration.
She is 35 years old (as in Sept 2015) and is involved in the overall functions in BSS NBFC. She was appointed as Whole Time Director of the Company on 10th February 2010. She has about 13 years of experience in the sector and has been actively involved in establishing systems and processes in BSS NBFC. Ms. Kavitha has a Bachelors degree in Commerce and a PGDBA. She is also the Chief Administrative Officer of the Company.
He is 68 years old (as in Sept 2015), a Mechanical Engineering graduate, presently a partner in a Agarbathi manufacturing company, and deeply inclined to do social good for the benefit of the underprivileged. He has been highly supportive to do eventual large scale poverty alleviation of poor women and their families, in a financially sustainable manner. He has over eighteen (18) years of experience in Microfinance initially as a Governor of BSS Trust, and subsequently as a Non-Executive Director of BSS NBFC.
He is about 76 years old (as in Sept 2015) retired General Manager of Corporation Bank. He is highly respected in the field of micro finance, having served as the Chief Advisor to Sanghamitra Rural Financial Services, a section 25 LLC for five years from its inception, and running it with excellent portfolio quality and with financial surplus. He is a lawyer by background, with honors and rank holdings in college, with a Diploma in Systems Management, and M.A. in Political Economy. He has also been providing formal and informal advisory and mentoring services to several emerging micro finance institutions. He has been an advisor to BSS Trust from late 2003 and from 23rd October 2010 onwards joined BSS NBFC Board as Non-Executive Director.
He is 68 years old (as in Sept 2015), Post Graduate in Commerce and Business Management, retired Chief General Manager of Punjab National Bank. While at service he had exposure to various fields of Credit Administration, Credit and Operational Risk Management, Foreign Exchange, Inspection and Audit, Management of Regional Rural Banks and Merchant Banking. He had headed PNB Capital Services Ltd., a Merchant Banking and NBFC subsidiary of Punjab National Bank as its Managing Director for about four and a half years. He has been on the Committees / Working Groups constituted by the Reserve Bank of India and the Indian Banks' Association. Sri. V. Nagaraja joined as an advisor to BSS Trust from September 2007 and from 23rd October 2010 onwards joined BSS NBFC Board as Non-Executive Director.
He is 57 years old (as in Sept 2015), a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He is last associated with RBI as Principal Chief General Manager- Department of Expenditure & Budgetary Control (DEBC), Central Office-Mumbai, at which point he took voluntary retirement. He is having diversified experience of over three decades in RBI across a diverse range of functions entailing in Business Administration, Customer Grievance Redressal, Training & Development, and Regulation & Supervision, in various departments namely, Department of Expenditure and Budgetary control (DEBC), Banking Ombudsman (CGM), Department of Banking Supervision, as a Regional Director in Patna, Principal (CGM) - Reserve Bank Staff College in Chennai, Member of Faculty (GM/DGM)-Bankers Training College in Mumbai, etc. Sri S. Ganesh served as a RBI Nominee Director on the Boards of Oriental Bank of Commerce (May'13-May'14) & UCO Bank (Apr'04-Mar'05), entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring professional management of the Board, regulatory compliance and formulation of sound policies & practices. Sri S Ganesh joined BSS NBFC as Non Executive Director from 16th May 2015.
He is 65 Years old (As in Sept 2015), Post Graduate in Political Science and Graduate in Economics. Sri BiswaBandhuMohanty is a retired Chief General Manager of Micro Credit Innovations Department (MCID), NABARD, at its Head Office, (HO) Mumbai. He is a Post Graduate in Political Science and Graduate in Economics. Sri Mohanty has to his credit 37 years of experience in various institutions viz. Utkal University, Orissa Finance Service, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and National Bank for Agriculture &Rural Development (NABARD). During his 28 years of illustrious career in NABARD, he has made significant imprints in the development finance and rural development, wherever he worked particularly promotion of non-farm sector, Micro Finance, human resources development, supervision of Rural Financial Institutions (RFIs), financing of agriculture and institutional development. He has been deeply involved in SHG -Bank Linkage Programme, right from its inception. He has been associated with several Committees, Working Groups and Task Forces constituted by NABARD and other Agencies. While in NABARD, he was a Nominee Director/Professional Director in the Boards of various Banks, Financial Institutions and Development Institutions. Since his retirement from NABARD as on March 31, 2010, he has been engaged as freelance consultant to reputed national and international agencies, in development finance and rural credit. He has been visiting Guest Faculty to several reputed training institutions including College of Agricultural Banking (CAB), RBI, Pune. He has contributed several papers on themes of Rural Development/Micro Finance, to various important national and international authorities/publications. He has participated in various National and International Conferences/Seminars on themes of rural credit/development as Key-note Speaker/ Panel Member/Paper Presenter/Resource Person. Sri BiswaBandhuMohanty joined BSS NBFC as an Additional (Non Executive) Director from 6th August 2015.
